The site is located in Cardiff and is one of the client’s largest clubs. Being a partnering contractor with David Lloyd the initial design phase quickly progressed to starting on site. As the site was to remain trading at all times the planning/sequencing of works was essential to the smooth running of the operation. With opening times from 6am to 11pm daily, intrusive works were carefully planned and arranged around the clubs activities with minimum disruption to its members. The contract began with the refurbishment of all main areas which meant a trusted team had to tackle the unusual challenges of a live gym environment, having worked alongside David Lloyd throughout the UK and Ireland on many different schemes the client was at ease, at all times. The 8 week refurbishment programme was successfully achieved without delay. The conversion programme was considered a great success by all involved and G.Oakley & Sons were very proud to be working with David Lloyd.
